Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly News. March has come in somewhat like a lion, although temps have not been too bad the wind has been very cold. Except for snow piles and sheltered area most of the snow is gone. St John's/Kongsvinger news: Lenten services will again alternate between St. John's on March 9 and Kongsvinger on March 16 at 7 p.m. with coffee hour to follow. St. John's WELCA will be having their annual St. Patrick's Day party at the West Wind Village on March 17 at 2 p.m.

In St. John's/Kongsvinger news: Lenten services will be held at Kongsvinger on March 2 and St. John's on March 9 at 7 p.m. From Good Shepherd Lutheran Church: The youth will go tubing at Andes Tower Hills on Feb. 28 at 1 p.m. Members of the community are invited to join them. The Viking Library Bookmobile will be on Main Street in Donnelly on Feb. 29 from 3:45 to 4 p.m. The Minnesota All State Lutheran choir will be having additions throughout the state starting on Feb. 20. One of the audition sites is United Lutheran Church in Elbow Lake on Feb. 21 from 1 to 2 p.m. Call 651-303-5203 for details. St. Mary's School of Morris will hold their annual dinner/auction today (Saturday) at Old Number One Southside in Morris beginning at 5 p.m.
Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly news. After several weeks of fairly mild weather it has turned cold again. A little snow and strong winds caused difficult driving conditions this past Monday. In St. John's/Kongsvinger news: Lenten services will be at Kongsvinger on Feb. 17 and at St. John's on Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. Youth Club will meet at St. John's on the third Wednesday of the month from 4 to 6 p.m. The next meeting is Feb. 17.

In St. John's/Kongsvinger news: Ash Wednesday services will be held at 7 p.m. Feb. 10 at St. John's. Services will again alternate between Kongsvinger and St John's every Wednesday until Holy week.

A pot luck dinner will follow the meetings. Beginning Jan. 17, service times are at 8:30 a.m. at St. John's and 11 a.m. at Kongsvinger. The Stevens County chapter of Habitat for Humanity will hold a fundraising pancake breakfast on Sunday, Jan. 17 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Morris American Legion. A free will donation will be collected.
