Annandale won the Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta softball tournament on Saturday, April 22 in Morris.
The Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta boys golf team got its season underway this week. The Tigers were at Minnewaska for the boys invitational on Friday, April 21, then continued the season at the Ortonville Invite on Monday, April 24.

The Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tiger girls golf team returns all its golfers except one in 2016 senior Maddie Hennen. The Tigers roster 10 girls, which is a good number, according to head coach Austen Miller. "We have a really good mix, 10 is good number to have for one coach," Miller said in a podcast interview with KMRS/KKOK Sports Director Brett Miller. The Tigers return 2016 all-conference recipient Shiori Legate along with junior Megan Kirkeide and freshman Hannah Zimmel, who both advanced to the second day of the Section 3AA meet in 2016.
The Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta girls track and field team took second at Minnewaska’s Steven Hill Invite on Tuesday, April 18 in Glenwood. The Lakers claimed the top spot in their hosted invite with 193.25 points. The Tigers had six first place finishes all in running events: 400-meter dash, 800-meter run, 1600-meter run, 300-meter hurdles, and the 4x100-meter and 4x200-meter relays.
The Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta boys track and field team took first at the Steve Hill Invite hosted by Minnewaska Tuesday, April 18 in Glenwood. The Tigers recorded five firsts and a handful of second and third place finishes on their way to 143 points. Minnewaska took second with 123.5 points and West Central Area rounded out the top three teams with 96 points.
The Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tiger softball team improved to 4-0 in West Central Conference play with a sweep of Benson Tuesday, April 18 in Morris. The Tigers defeated Benson 18-4 and 6-4.
The Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta baseball team swept Benson in a West Central Conference doubleheader on Tuesday, April 18 in Benson. The Tigers won 8-4 and 4-1. The Tigers are now 3-1 and host the Morris/C-A round robin tournament on Friday and Saturday, April 21 and 22.
