Funeral services for Edna Martha Anderson, of Chokio, will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Chokio, with Reverend Gloria J. Anderson officiating. Burial will be at the Chokio Lutheran Cemetery, Chokio. Edna Martha Anderson passed away at Grace Village and Home in Graceville on July 8, 2011 having reached the age of 98 years.
Funeral services for Glorraine Erickson were held on Saturday, July 9, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., at Big Bend Lutheran Church with Pastor Jay Grave officiating. Judy Suckow-Olson was the organist and the congregation sang "What A Friend We Have in Jesus" and "On Eagles Wings". Leanne Stoeckman sang "Here I Am, Lord", and "I Can Only Imagine" was also played. Honorary Bearers were many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Casketbearers were Dennis Anderson, Jim Anderson, David Beadell, Jason Beadell, Steve Beardell, Kerry Bleninger, Glen Faltinson, and Rick Kautz.
Bradley J. Smith, 72, Rapid City, died Friday, June 3, 2011, at home. Brad was born in Hanley Falls, to Byron and Ordella Smith. The family moved to Morris when he was six years old.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. with a rosary and prayers at 6:30 p.m. at the Starbuck Funeral Home in Starbuck and for one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Albert Andrew 'Bud' Payne was born on March 20, 1931, in rural Benson, to Warren and Margaret (Zurn) Payne.
Funeral services for Harriet Anderson of Morris will be held Friday, July 1, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Morris. Reverend Ken Bowman will be officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 30 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Burial will be in Summit Cemetery in Morris. Harriet Evelyn Nelson, daughter of Chris and Rose (Hendricksen) Nelson, was born Sept. 19, 1917 in Pepperton Township in Stevens County, Minnesota, where she grew up and attended country school.
Warren Dahl was born Jan. 16, 1921, the third of seven children to Edward and Bertha (Highum) Dahl, in Glenwood. After graduating from Glenwood High School he went to Fort Snelling to enlist in the Air Corps. He married June B. Zahl Jan. 16, 1943 in Bradenton, Fla. He and June then spent the next 28 years traveling the world, three kids in tow, courtesy of the U.S. Air Force. They retired to Minnesota and settled into an idyllic home on East Lake Carlos in 1977 where they spent many years gardening, fishing and playing with grandchildren.
Edith Rosalie Bristor Eccleston was born April 22, 1918 in Swan Lake Township, and passed away on June 25, 2011 in Bloomington. Edith was the daughter of Frank and Rosa Podratz. Edith lived on a farm until the 1950s. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands, O'Dell Bristor and Joseph Eccleston. She is survived by her children, Wanda Woodwick, Anita (Jerry) Williams, Dennis (Carlye) Bristor and Marlin (Sue) Bristor; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ardyce Erickson, 80, of rural Barrett, died Friday, June 24, 2011, at the Douglas County Hospital, Alexandria. She was born on Sept. 22, 1930, in Alexandria to Olander and Evelyn (Stevenson) Olson, was baptized and confirmed, and attended Wennersborg Lutheran Church, rural Kensington. The family later joined the Bethel Lutheran Church in Hoffman. Following graduation from Hoffman High School in 1948, she attended Beauty College in Minneapolis. On March 10, 1951, Ardyce was united in marriage to Russell Harold Erickson.
Funeral services for Cornelia Joos of Morris, formerly of Hancock, were held Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Apostolic Christian Church near Morris. The Apostolic Christian Church Ministers offiated. Burial was at the church cemetery. Cornelia Marie Joos, better known as "Neil," daughter of Jacob and Anna Nohl, was born on Jan. 10, 1915, on the family farm near Hancock. Neil graduated 8th grade and helped at the household of her sister, Viola, who died from a brain tumor at an early age.
