Dolores Sophia Dahl, age 93, died on Feb. 12, 2011 at the West Wind Village in Morris. For many years she had looked forward to meeting her Lord face-to-face. Dolores Sophia Schmit Dahl was born Feb. 7, 1918 on a farm near Fairmount, N.D. to Hazel Buscher Schmit and Nicholas Schmit. She was baptized Feb. 10 at St. Anthony's Church in Fairmount. She confirmed her faith in Jesus at St.
Funeral services for Ida B. Stewart of Morris will be held Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church in Morris. Father Tim Baltes will be officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Morris. Ida B. Wilcox, daughter of Milton and Justina (Dixon) Wilcox was born on Sept. 15, 1931 in Fitzgerald, Ga. She attended Stanton High School in Jacksonville, Fla. Her mother re-married to be Justina Dixon.
Ida Stewart of Morris passed away on Jan. 27, 2011 at the age of 79. Friends may call on Wednesday, Feb. 16 from 5 to 8 pm. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and one hour prior to services at the Church on Thursday. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 17 at 10:30 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church in Morris with burial at Calvary Cemetery in Morris.
Mary Ann Conroy, age 66 of Apple Valley passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011. Preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Lydia, and sister, Jean. She is survived by her sons: Christopher (Laura) and Collin (Gary Reetz); her beloved grandchildren: Nathan and Ryan; siblings: Ralph 'Tom' (Elaine) Mohr, Ron (Sharyn) Mohr, Lois (Howard) Person, and Gerald 'Scott' (Kathy) Mohr; and many loving relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed by everyone whose life she touched.
Jeffrey Gorden Thorstad, born May 30, 1959 to Gorden and Betty Thorstad of Morris, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011 at Mercy Hospital of Coon Rapids, at the age of 51. He graduated from Morris High School in 1977. He married Beverly Sue Mills on March 8, 1980 at Morris. They have 3 children, Thomas, Benjamin and Jennifer.
Ernestine Charles Quasebarth, 86, passed away in Vancouver, Wash., surrounded by members of her family, after complications from a stroke. She was born in Hancock. Minn, on April 15, 1924, to Frances (Erlandson) and Ernest H. Charles. She was the oldest of three siblings. Ernestine lost her mother at the age of 14 and proceeded to take a large part in the raising of her two younger brothers, Erland and Harold. After high school she was accepted to Abbott Hospital's Nursing Program in Minneapolis. When WWII broke out she moved to the Portland area to work in the shipyards as a welder.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Morris. Leona Laura Scheelk, daughter of Otto and Martha (Steuck) Scheelk, was born June 17, 1922 in Leonardville Township near Johnson.
Marvin Earl Wilts, 74, of Herman, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Funeral services for Marvin will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011 at the United Methodist Church in Herman with Pastor Mickey Olson officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 at the United Methodist Church in Herman and for one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Interment will be at the Lakeside Cemetery, Herman. Marvin was born on Feb.
Faye Benkowski-Bateman, age 87, of Springfield, Mo., passed away Jan. 20, 2011. She was the daughter of Ward and Dorothy Taylor of Morris and grew up in Stevens County. Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 27 in San Pablo, Calif. with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be in Summit Cemetery in Morris. Elmer Henry Madison was born in Rockwood Township in Wadena County on Nov. 25, 1920 to Henry and Marie Madison. He attended Alberta country school grades 1 thru 8. He was one of five children.
