Funeral services for Ronald Hottovy of Morris, will be held Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church in Morris. Father Tim Baltes will be officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Morris. Ronald Raymond Hottovy, son of Raymond and Marcella (Hraban) Hottovy, was born June 2, 1950 in Seward, Neb. Ron was baptized on June 18, 1950 in Dwight, Neb.
Irene Koosmann, age 89, of Glenwood, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2011, at Glenwood Village Care Center, following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 12, at Glenwood Lutheran Church, with Rev. Krista Lee officiating. Interment was in Glenwood Cemetery. Arrangements were with Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home of Glenwood. Irene Ida Sophia Schuerman, daughter of Ernest F. and Elfrieda (Platow) Schuerman, was on July 11, 1921 at home on a farm near Holloway. She attended St. John's Lutheran Church in Moyer Township and was a graduate of Holloway High School.
Myra W. Sperr, age 96, Sauk Rapids, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home, Sauk Rapids. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Herman Methodist Church, Herman. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Herman. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud. Myra was born May 11, 1914 in Norman County, to Russell and Beulah (Summers) Smith. She married William Sperr on June 4, 1934 in Herman. Myra taught rural school in Stevens County and 17 years in the Herman Public School, Herman, retiring in 1973. She moved to the St.

Funeral services for Thelma Leegaard of Hoffman will be held Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 4 p.m. at Kongsvinger Lutheran Church, rural Donnelly. Reverend Judy Gelinske will be officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Thelma R. Anderson, daughter of Boal and Helen (Hove) Anderson, was born May 24, 1921 in Thompson, Iowa, where she grew up and attended country school. On Dec. 20, 1938, she was united in marriage to Ingvold Leegaard.
The funeral for Wesley Ernest Irwin, of Henning, will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home Chapel in Morris, with Reverend Art Montgomery officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be at the Summit Cemetery, Morris. Wesley Ernest Irwin, son of Curtis and Virene (Peters) Irwin was born on June 18, 1957 at Morris, where he grew up and attended school. After his schooling, he got a degree in small engine repair at St. Cloud. Wesley was united in marriage to Lois Odden on Feb. 24, 1978 in South Dakota.
Funeral Service for Bernard Volker, 90, of Herman, will be held Friday, May 6, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church in Herman, with Pastor Jennifer Rose officiating. Organist will be Olivia Richards with special music provided by Jeanne Sperr. Pallbearers will be Bernard's grandsons: Tom Volker, Bradley Volker, Brian Volker, Eric Volker, Michael Volker, Tony Volker, Kyle Volker, Dustin Sperr and Evan Carlson. Honorary pallbearers will be Bernard's granddaughters: Rebecca Pruse, Jennifer Selander, Shelley Volker, Ronda Blume, Glynis Volker, Olivia Volker and Ashley Carlson.
Lillian A. Hall, age 94 of Aitkin died Sunday, April 24, 2011 at the Aicota Health Care Center in Aitkin. Lillian was born June 29, 1916 at Morris, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Hermson) Grote. She grew up and attended schools in Morris, graduating from St. Mary's Catholic High School. She then moved to St. Paul and went to work for Snyder Drug in St. Paul. She married Ernest Hall on Feb. 18, 1947 at Hudson, Wis. They made their home in St. Paul and Lillian worked for Reed Ray Film in St. Paul.
Phyllis A. (Leraas) Erickson, of Alexandria, formerly of Morris, passed away Friday, April 22, 2011 at Knute Nelson. Phyllis was born July 12, 1920 to Elvina and Ben Leraas in Barrett. She graduated in 1938 from Barrett High School and attended St. Cloud State University. On March 1, 1941 Phyllis married Harvey Erickson of Morris. The couple made their home in Morris where they were blessed with five children. Phyllis was a fantastic seamstress. She made dresses for her daughter and suits for her boys.
Funeral services for Waldon Henriksen of Fergus Falls, will be held Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 10:30 am at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris. Reverend Harry Olson will be officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services on Thursday. Burial will take place at the Summit Cemetery in Morris. Waldon Eugene Henriksen, son of Fred and Lena (Ernst) Henriksen, was born April 6, 1927 in Morris. He grew up on a farm and attended school in Alberta. On October 21, 1961, he was united in marriage to Lois Ruth Benard. Following their marriage, they lived in St. Paul.
