Mass of Christian Burial for Richard Hanrahan will be held Monday, May 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church in Morris. Father Tim Baltes will be officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m., with a prayer service at 5:30 and a KC rosary at 6:00 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Morris. Richard Patrick Hanrahan, son of William and Helen (Daly) Hanrahan, was born Nov. 15, 1935 on the family farm in Horton Township in Stevens County.
Funeral services for Ann Benson of Lee's Summit, Missouri, formerly of Morris will be held Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Morris. Reverend Todd Mattson will be officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Burial will in Summit Cemetery in Morris. Ann Emma (Hanson) Benson, daughter of Lewis and Emma (Podratz) Hanson, was born on September 3, 1925 in Swan Lake Township in Stevens County, Minnesota.

Burial will be in Summit Cemetery in Morris. Kolleen Susan Helberg, was born January 1, 1982 in Morris, Minnesota, where she lived her early childhood. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cyrus.
Jean D. Leuthard, age 88 of Bemidji died Friday, May 7, 2010 in Havenwood Care Center in Bemidji. Memorial services will be held at a later time by the Family. Inurnment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Chokio, Minn. Arrangements were entrusted to the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Bemidji. Jean Doren Troelson was born Sept. 21, 1921 in Morris. to Chris and Florence (Nicely) Troelson. The family moved to Morris in 1928 where Jean attended Morris Elementary School and graduated from Morris High School. She attended Minneapolis Tech for Interior Decorating.
Benjamin L. Mast, age 15, of Benson, died Wednesday, May 5 at Swift County Benson Hospital, the result of a motor vehicle accident. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday May 11, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Benson, with Pastor Dennis McManus officiating. Friends may call from 4 - 7 p.m. Monday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Benson. Visitation will continue at the church for one hour prior to the service. A remembrance prayer service for Helen Charolette Gaulrapp, age 76, will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Chokio with Pastor Dell Sanderson officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be her "Grandchildren" Chad Gaulrapp, Derek Gaulrapp, Shannon Borchert, Brent Ascheman, Brandon Ascheman, Kayla Behrens, Joshua Behrens, Melissa Behrens. Interment will be at the Chokio Cemetery following the prayer service.

Irene Gertrude Karpinsky, daughter of Lawrence and Gertrude (Loher) Karpinsky, was born Oct. 24, 1925 in Alberta, Minnesota.
Evelyn Gladys (Lueneburg) Giese born on April 14, 1931 to Richard and Melvina Lueneburg of Herman, she was baptized and confirmed at Bethel Lutheran Church in Herman. She attended country school (district 69) and graduated from Herman High School in 1948. She attended Moorhead State University where she earned her associated degree in Elementary Education. She taught school for 3 years in Hoffman. On Dec. 8, 1951, she was united in marriage to Don Giese. They lived on a farm north of Hoffman for three years.
LaVonne Day was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Lester and Charlotte (Carlson) Elloitt. LaVonne was joined in marriage to David W. Day on October 1, 1949. LaVonne's greatest wish was fulfilled by becoming a wife and the mother of four wonderful children. She was not someone that had one or two favorite things, LaVonne enjoyed being part of everything, and she simply loved life with her family. Every grandchild was the 'most beautiful baby' she had ever seen, and every child's accomplishment was the best ever!
Evelyn Giese age 79 of Elbow Lake died on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Stevens' Homes Plus in Barrett. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 2, 2010 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Hoffman with a visitation from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Hoffman and for one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
