Memorial services for Clara Turbyne of Morris will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Federated Church in Morris. Reverend Hilda Parks will be officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Born in 1913 to Stanley and Louisa (Drake) Cool in LeRay, N.Y., Clara Louise Cool grew up on a dairy farm. Clara was the middle child with two older brothers: George and Donald, and two younger brothers: Truman and Walter. Clara's job was to bring in the cows every evening and she also picked and help sell strawberries for her grandmother.
Erika Edelgard Sommer of Morris, beloved mother of Edward Skingel; Debra Hager and Elizabeth Fernandez, died on Friday, May 21, 2010. Erika is also survived by several grand and great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at the family's residence. Dell James Fynboh, 66, of Oroville, Calif. and Spicewood, Texas, died May 15, 2010 at his home in Texas. He is survived by his wife Sally Anderson, daughter Allison, son Dan, and four grand children, his mother Harriet Schwartz, brothers Gene (Kathy) Fynboh of Brandon Minn., and Don (Bev) Fynboh of Buffalo Minn., and their families. His father, Ralph Fynboh, preceded him in death.
Marcus "Mark" Noordmans, age 89, of Priam, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Bethesda Heritage Center in Willmar. Funeral services for Mark will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 22 at Raymond Christian Reformed Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery in Raymond with Military Honors by American Legion Post #167 of Willmar. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Friday, May 21 at Raymond Christian Reformed Church and continue on Saturday one hour prior to the service. Mark was born March 26, 1921, near Hancock, the son of Dewey and Jesse (Hoekstra) Noordmans.
Mass of Christian Burial for Cody J. DeVaan was held Wednesday May 12, at St. Bridgets Catholic Church in DeGraff, with Fr. Bill Sprigler officiating. Burial was in St. Bridgets Catholic Cemetery. Cody James DeVaan was born January 24, 1994, in Alexandria, the son of Steven John and Sandy Kaye (Ascheman) DeVaan. He was baptized on April 10, 1994 at St. Bridgets Catholic Church in DeGraff. He grew up in DeGraff with his parents Steve and Sandy and his brother "Teddy" Theodore and his sister Jalynn.
Mass of Christian Burial for Dolores Root of Donnelly will be held Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Assumption Catholic Church in Morris. Father Tim Baltes will be officiating. Visitation will be held Monday from 5 to 9 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be in St. Theresia's Cemetery in Donnelly. Dolores Vernell Robertson, daughter of Leofred and Laura (Steen) Robertson, was born April 20, 1924 in Synnes Township in Stevens County, Minnesota.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Summit Cemetery in Morris. Dorothy Mae Young, daughter of John A. and Mary Ella (Ridings) Young, was born on Feb. 10, 1912 in Prior Township, Big Stone County. She started in Country School and graduated from Clinton High School in 1930, after which she attended Moorhead State Teacher's College for two years.
Steven Charles McDonnell, age 44, rural Collis, died Sunday, May 9, 2010, at his residence. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 15, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at the Assumption Catholic Church in Morris, with Father Tim Baltes officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Beardsley. Pallbearers will be Jim Zych, Tom Zych, DuWayne Bohner, Gene Paulson, Mike Hartmann, and Doug Gunnick. Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Morris. Richard Patrick Hanrahan, son of William and Helen (Daly) Hanrahan, was born Nov. 15, 1935 on the family farm in Horton Township in Stevens County.

Burial will in Summit Cemetery in Morris. Ann Emma (Hanson) Benson, daughter of Lewis and Emma (Podratz) Hanson, was born on September 3, 1925 in Swan Lake Township in Stevens County, Minnesota.
