Benjamin L. Mast, age 15, of Benson, died Wednesday, May 5 at Swift County Benson Hospital, the result of a motor vehicle accident. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday May 11, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Benson, with Pastor Dennis McManus officiating. Friends may call from 4 - 7 p.m. Monday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Benson. Visitation will continue at the church for one hour prior to the service. Benjamin Mast was born June 28, 1994, in Benson, the son of Joseph Lynn and Becky Mae (Jaeger) Mast. He was baptized on Oct.
A remembrance prayer service for Helen Charolette Gaulrapp, age 76, will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Chokio with Pastor Dell Sanderson officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be her "Grandchildren" Chad Gaulrapp, Derek Gaulrapp, Shannon Borchert, Brent Ascheman, Brandon Ascheman, Kayla Behrens, Joshua Behrens, Melissa Behrens. Interment will be at the Chokio Cemetery following the prayer service.
Funeral services for Irene Berlinger of Chokio, will be held Friday, May 7, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chokio. Father Peter VanderWeyst will be officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. and a prayer service to follow at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chokio. Irene Gertrude Karpinsky, daughter of Lawrence and Gertrude (Loher) Karpinsky, was born Oct. 24, 1925 in Alberta, Minnesota.
Evelyn Gladys (Lueneburg) Giese born on April 14, 1931 to Richard and Melvina Lueneburg of Herman, she was baptized and confirmed at Bethel Lutheran Church in Herman. She attended country school (district 69) and graduated from Herman High School in 1948. She attended Moorhead State University where she earned her associated degree in Elementary Education. She taught school for 3 years in Hoffman. On Dec. 8, 1951, she was united in marriage to Don Giese. They lived on a farm north of Hoffman for three years.
LaVonne Day was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Lester and Charlotte (Carlson) Elloitt. LaVonne was joined in marriage to David W. Day on October 1, 1949. LaVonne's greatest wish was fulfilled by becoming a wife and the mother of four wonderful children. She was not someone that had one or two favorite things, LaVonne enjoyed being part of everything, and she simply loved life with her family. Every grandchild was the 'most beautiful baby' she had ever seen, and every child's accomplishment was the best ever!
Evelyn Giese age 79 of Elbow Lake died on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Stevens' Homes Plus in Barrett. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 2, 2010 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Hoffman with a visitation from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Hoffman and for one hour prior to the service on Sunday. Bernice Ann Hamilton, daughter of William and Marie (Applebee) Hamilton, was born January 3, 1939 in Oskaloosa, Iowa, where she grew up and graduated from Oskaloosa High School.
Grace Dosdall Heinrich, age 84 of Coon Rapids, passed away in her home on her birthday, Tuesday, April 13, 2010. Grace was born in Morris and spent her early years in Hancock. Grace is survived by her two children: son, George (Sylvia) Heinrich of Coon Rapids and daughter Gerry Ann (Roger) Ozmun of San Antonio, Texas; three sisters, Darlene Anderson of Holmen, Wis., Irene Bratland of Watertown, S.D.

Father Tim Baltes will be officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Saturday. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Morris. Thomas William Hanrahan, son of Richard and Joan (Lesmeister) Hanrahan, was born June 7, 1964 in St. Paul. Tom came into Richard and Joan's hearts on the day of his baptism on June 15, 1964.
