Earl William Wevley, son of Karl and Carolina (Amundson) Wevley, was born Sept. 14, 1924, in Winneshiek County, Iowa. Earl's family moved to Barnesville in 1929. In 1939, the family moved to Morris and Earl worked as a farmhand for area farmers. On Dec. 28, 1944, Earl entered the US Army and served as a gun crewman on heavy artillery in the Pacific Theater. He was honorably discharged on July 31, 1946. Earl was united in marriage to Leola Marie Kussatz on Feb. 11, 1946; seven children were born to this union. From 1954 to the 1990s, Earl farmed in Framnas Township, Stevens County.
Funeral services for Shirley Vogt will be held on Friday, Oct. 2, 2009, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM and services at 10:30 AM all being held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Johnson, MN with Pastor Eugene Andrus officiating. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Nathan Vogt, Joshua Moeller, Daniel Kock, Jonathan Kock, Adam Kock, and Eric Kiero. Honorary pallbearer is Shirley's Great-grandson Evan Kiero. Shirley Rose Fuhrman was born August 31, 1938, to Walter and Louise (Zimmerman) Fuhrman in Graceville, MN.
Funeral services for Margaret Miller of Morris will be held Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Assumption Catholic Church in Morris. Father Peter VanderWeyst will be officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 4 to 8 PM with a rosary at 7:00 and a prayer service at 7:30 at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Morris. Margaret Elizabeth Miller, daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Holland) Braun, was born May 7, 1932 at the Barrett Ranch in Herman, Minnesota.
Douglas Clyde Goddard, age 75, of Farmington, formerly of Morris went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 11, 1934 in Aldrich to Harold William and Jenny Elizabeth (Wassink) Goddard. He married Allenor Cottrell on June 15, 1954 in Wadena. He got his education at District 4 Aldrich Township.

Corey DeVere Berkman, age 35, of St. Cloud died Sept. 20, 2009 in a roadside accident coming home from the Tomahawk Motorcycle Rally near Ladysmith, Wis. A memorial service for Corey DeVere Berkman will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009 at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be from 12 until 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Wenner Funeral Home, 151 Oakwood Ave. S.E., Richmond. Corey was born in Minneapolis to Glenn and Karen (Rausch) Berkman. He worked for Peter's Body Shop as an auto body technician and he also worked at All Care Towing.
Funeral services for Melvin Reynolds will be held Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009 at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cyrus. Reverend John R. Smith will be officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Military rites will be provided by the Morris American Legion, VFW and AmVets. Melvin Floyd Reynolds, son of Charles and Bessie (Hollister) Reynolds, was born December 27, 1932 in Morris, MN. He grew up in the Donnelly area where he completed his schooling.

Memorial services for Anita Louise Lindgren, of rural Hancock will be held on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Morris. Anita Louise (Eddy) Lindgren was born on April 15, 1947 in Minneapolis to Scott and Germaine (Pomerleau) Eddy. She attended and graduated from Holy Angels Academy in Richfield. She had a genuine desire to care for others, so she continued her education at St. Mary's College in Minneapolis graduating with a degree in nursing. She worked as a registered nurse in a variety of settings.
Waldo George Erickson, age 93, of Springfield, died on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009 at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield. Funeral services for Waldo Erickson will be held at St. John Lutheran Church on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009 at 11 a.m. The Clergy will be Pastor Carl Seamon. Visitation will be at the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009 from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be at the Home Cemetery in Sleepy Eye.
