Grace Dosdall Heinrich, age 84 of Coon Rapids, passed away in her home on her birthday, Tuesday, April 13, 2010. Grace was born in Morris and spent her early years in Hancock. Grace is survived by her two children: son, George (Sylvia) Heinrich of Coon Rapids and daughter Gerry Ann (Roger) Ozmun of San Antonio, Texas; three sisters, Darlene Anderson of Holmen, Wis., Irene Bratland of Watertown, S.D.
Mass of Christian Burial for Thomas Hanrahan of Minneapolis, formerly of Morris will be held Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris. Father Tim Baltes will be officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Saturday. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Morris. Thomas William Hanrahan, son of Richard and Joan (Lesmeister) Hanrahan, was born June 7, 1964 in St. Paul. Tom came into Richard and Joan's hearts on the day of his baptism on June 15, 1964.
Terry Hormann, age 37, rural Hoffman, died Sunday, April 18, 2010. Services for Terry Hormann will be held at 11 am Thursday, April 22, 2010, at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Hoffman with the Rev. Mark Schmitke officiating. Friends may call at the Erickson-Smith Funeral Home in Hoffman on Wednesday from 5-8 pm with a 7:30 prayer service. Visitation will resume at the church on Thursday one hour before the service. Terry Allan Hormann was born in Graceville, Minnesota, on March 4, 1973.
Mary A. Blair, age 61 of Mesa, Ariz. and formerly of Morris, died of Renal Cancer on April 17, 2010. She was the daughter of Gene and Katie Lesmeister. She is survived by daughters, Shawn Tripet (Edward), Sheri Blair; parents Gene and Katie; brothers Tom Lesmeister (Roxanne), Tony Lesmeister; sisters Betty Schawnke (David), Rose Voigt (Mark), Ann Veum, (Ken). Many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by brother Roger Lesmeister; sister Louise Nygard. Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 1 at 2 p.m.
Mary Louise Hyatt of Woodbury, formerly of rural Morris, passed away on April 14, 2010 at age 74 after a battle with cancer. Beloved mother of Lynn (Richard) Bright, Jeff, Todd (Wendy), Curt, Mark, Lori and Dawn. Grandmother of Jolene, Wesley, Jonathan, Aaron, A.J., Heather, Caitlin and Cara. Sister of Lois Thomas, nieces and nephews, Dear friend of Don Frascone. Mary was a wonderful mother, and a great inspiration to her children. She was a gifted artist and musician. She played piano, accordion, and many other instruments. Mary had a great love for animals and beautiful flowers.
Funeral services for Virgil Maus of Chokio will be held Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Chokio. Burial will be in Synnes Cemetery. Military rites provided by the Chokio American Legion. Virgil Emil Maus, son of Emil and Augusta (Mieske) Maus, was born March 23, 1931 in Synnes Township in Stevens County, where he grew up and was baptized on April 12, 1931 and confirmed on July 16, 1944 at Trinity Lutheran Church. He began his schooling at Country School District #58 and continued his education at Alberta High School in Alberta.
Harry Roberts, age 73 of Morris, died on Tuesday, April 13, 2010. Funeral services for Harry Roberts will be held Thursday, April 15 at 2 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris. Funeral services for Doris Rundquist of Starbuck, were held Friday, April 9, at the Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck. Reverend Paul Johnson officiated. Burial was at Bethany Bethesda Cemetery, rural Starbuck. Doris Leone Grenson, daughter of Edwin and Clara (Brenden) Grenson, was born March 15, 1920 in Starbuck, where she grew up and attended school. Following her schooling, she worked in the homes of families in the Starbuck area. On March 9, 1945, she was united in marriage to Orville Rundquist in Starbuck. Following their marriage, the couple lived and farmed south of Starbuck.
Mass of Christian Burial for Sgt. Kurt Elmo Kruize, age 35, of St. Cloud, will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 12, 2010 at St. Mary's Cathedral in St. Cloud, for Sgt. Kurt Elmo Kruize who died on Sunday, April 4, 2010. Friends and relatives may call from 4-9 p.m. on Sunday April 11th at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud and also after 9:30 a.m. on Monday at the church in St. Cloud. Parish prayers will be at 5 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home and Rev. Bernard Gruenes will officiate.
Funeral services for Hadley Marie Knabe, infant daughter of Casey & Heather Knabe, will be held Monday, April 12, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Nora Lutheran Church of rural Kensington. Reverend Elaine Leone will be officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will take place at the church cemetery. For every life there is a story. Some stories are longer than others; but it can be surprising how much impact a life can have on others in a very short time. Heather and Casey had a miracle; they conceived a baby against the odds.
